Mirror of Truth By Nia Rose You spend your days wearing the face of others. Oh, what a monumental power to possess. With you, there are no gimmicks. You shine a light on the unadulterated truth. I suppose that’s your cross to bear. Is that why you’re so fragile? Is that the reason your smooth exterior shatters so easily? Surely you’re aware of the potency your candidness holds. You may shine a light on reality, but the truth is that our minds interpret what our eyes see, and more often than not, imagination blends with actuality. We are such funny creatures, only gazing upon our diluted truths. How tiring it must be to see the way everyone falsifies their truest selves. You never had any choice but to sit with this knowledge. I suppose that’s your cross to bear.
